Dream Labs is a research-driven robotics lab founded in April 2026 by ex-Nvidia researcher Joel Jang (from Project GR00T) to build world models for physical AI and robotics. Grounded in the promise of Robotics Within Reach, Dream Labs is on a mission to bring everyday capabilities to everyday robots. Through its API, Dream Labs makes advanced robotics intelligence accessible to developers and researchers, empowering them to build, experiment, and explore new possibilities. Slope developed the brand strategy and visual identity to reflect this ambition.
At the center of the identity is a cloud-inspired character that playfully shifts and morphs, taking on new shapes and possibilities. Drawing from the imaginative nature of dreams, the character reflects how Dream Labs’ intelligence can move between different robots, adapting to new forms, tasks, and environments.
Inspired by pixel dreamscapes and bit-based graphics, the visual language uses pixels as building blocks that assemble, dissolve, and rearrange. The system balances a research-minded, methodical approach with an optimistic, collaborative, and dynamic personality, expressing both the technical ambition and approachable nature of Dream Labs.
